In this session we look at Aquinas’ teachings on sovereign providence and sovereign reprobation. We discover from the Summa Theologica that Aquinas is Augustinian (or Calvinistic) in his view of divine sovereignty. So why do Roman Catholic apologists, like G.K. Chesterton, beat on Calvinists for holding to divine sovereignty? In Part 5, Session 2, which is forthcoming; we look at how Aquinas teaches sovereign, unconditional election.
